Members of the National Assistance Board’s (NAB) Seniors Recreational Activities Programme recently displayed a variety of crafts at an Arts and Crafts Exhibition at the Grand Salle, Central Bank.

Senior Clerk with responsibility for the programme, Colleen Hunte, encouraged even more persons to join.

“As long as you’re 50 years or over we accept you. We have 16 centres across the island…You just go into the centre and there is an instructor there. You speak to them, you give basic information, your name, your address, your next of kin, and whatever craft they are doing, you are free to join in. There’s no fee attached,” she explained.

On display were examples of the students’ talents in the area of hat making, flower arranging, jewellery making and smocking.

Persons interested in participating in the programme should call Ms. Hunte at the NAB at 426-3131.
