Delegates at the upcoming African Diaspora Heritage Trail (ADHT) Conference to be convened here will have the chance to experience the Barbadian-Africa connection, not only through the many presenters who will address the three-day event, but also from a range of cultural displays.

Tourism Development Officer with the Ministry of Tourism, Selma Thompson, explained that "as one component of the conference, a number of persons and agencies will display arts and craft; postage stamps as well as condiments and confectionery that are linked to our Barbadian heritage and the African influence on the development of this heritage."

There will also be a number of academic displays, including a showcase of traditional medicinal plants, which will also be on sale.

The ADHT Conference, which runs from September 17 to 19, will feature local, regional and international speakers who will discuss issues of relevance to the African Diaspora.
