Ambassador Williams Presents Credentials To Director General Of The United Nations Office At Geneva

Prime Minister David Thompson and Former Central Bank Governor, Dr. Marion Williams, at a farewell reception held in her honour??last year.

Former Central Bank Governor and current Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Barbados to the United Nations and Other International Organisations at Geneva, Dr. Marion Williams, presented her credentials to Director General of the United Nations Office at Geneva, Mr. Sergei Ordzhonikidze, on February 4.

This event marked the official commencement of duties under the Geneva based United Nations offices and their specialised agencies. In addition, Ambassador Williams will present credentials to Mr. Pascal Lamy, Director General of the World Trade Organisation in the coming days.

Ambassador Williams assumed office on February 1, 2010.??
