Barbadians and tourists alike are being urged to come out and support the vendors from the East of the island at the Fourth Bajan Pride Exposition of the Ministry of Tourism.

It will be held at Bathsheba in St. Joseph, next Wednesday, February 3, and is designed to showcase the art and craft of individuals in and around the parishes of St. John and St. Joseph.

The event starts at 10:00 a.m. and runs until 5:00 p.m.

A key purpose of the exposition is to provide a forum for artists and craft persons to display and sell their produce to visitors and locals alike. These will include, among others, jewellery, basketry, woodcraft, leather, and paintings. In addition, there will be varied entertainment for the whole family and those attending the expo are encouraged to visit the craft demonstrations and see how some local craft is made.

It will also feature aspects of the Barbadian culture, such as the coconut and sno-cone vendors, the nut-seller and local confectionery.

Minister of Tourism, Richard Sealy, will be in attendance.
