Barbados??? significant ranking on a mix of indices has come in for high praise from a government minister.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Senator Maxine McClean, made this assertion while addressing delegates attending the Inter-American Press Association???s (IAPA) cocktail reception at Ilaro Court recently.
The Minister said Barbados was ranked 15th out of 176 countries surveyed in Transparency International???s 2012 Corruption Perceptions Index ??? the second ranking in the Americas after Canada.?????You are being welcomed to a country which is small but committed to achieving excellence in what we do individually and collectively,??? Senator McClean underlined.
IAPA has 1 400 member publications with a combined readership circulation of over 43 million people.
