Barbados and Australia will continue to strengthen their existing relationship.

This was affirmed by Minister of the Environment and Drainage, Dr. Denis Lowe, during a recent courtesy call with Australia’s High Commissioner to Barbados Ross Tysoe at his Ministry.

Minister Lowe said that the two countries could build on their bond by exploring new areas where they could work together in a shared relationship that would see experts from the two countries exchanging methods of protecting the environment including the coastlines.??

The High Commissioner welcomed the idea of the exchange and reaffirmed his country’s commitment to working with Small Island Developing States like Barbados.??

Barbados and Australia established diplomatic relations on January 7, 1974.
