Barbados will next week become signatory to a Barbados-China Double Taxation Protocol.
Minister of International Business, George Hutson, will deliver an address and sign the agreement, during a ceremony on Wednesday, February 10, at 9:30 a.m.?? It will take placeoin the 2nd Floor Conference Room, Warrens Office Complex. China’s Ambassador to Barbados, Mr. Wei Qiang, will also sign the accord.
The new protocol reflects changes in China’s domestic laws, and according to International Business officials, that country is in the process of amending its treaties.
Barbados has enjoyed 33 years of uninterrupted diplomatic relations with the People’s Republic of China.
