A new initiative by the Barbados Community College (BCC) which is aimed at facilitating more direct interaction with the public to inform them about programmes on offer at that institution, will be launched this Saturday, April 13.

The inaugural BCC Goes Mobile will be held in Independence Square from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Prospective students who would have missed the deadline for the 2013-2014 Academic Year will be given an extended opportunity to enrol with the College. The BCC Goes Mobile Team will distribute specially marked application forms to the post-secondary and adult population.

These persons will be given a grace period to submit their applications to the College and pay a reduced late application fee of $30 by Friday, April 19. All application forms and payments must be made to the Office of Student Affairs and the Accounts Department respectively at the Eyrie Campus between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

During the four-hour period, the public will be given an opportunity to interact with BCC Goes Mobile teams from the Divisions of Commerce, Liberal Arts – Sociology Department, Technology and the Barbados Language Centre.

The teams who make up the faculty of the College will be able to answer and provide information to the public on a number of subjects to assist them to achieve their academic or professional goals.

The public will also be able to hear about the plan for Summer School and how they may enrol in programmes offered during the period, including short courses for which their credits will be stored.

BCC Goes Mobile seeks to fulfil, in part, the College’s philosophy, which speaks to a dynamic institution that seeks to respond positively to the perceived needs of its clientele.

The Barbados Community College offers Post-Graduate Degree/Diplomas, Bachelor’s Degrees, Post-Associate Degree/Diplomas, Associate Degrees (Majors), Associate Degrees in Applied Arts and Science and Certificates in a number of disciplines.
