The Barbados Defence Force (BDF) will commemorate the 29th anniversary of its establishment with a Church Parade at the St. Matthias Anglican Church this Sunday, August 10, at 10:00 a.m.

Troops on parade will march from St Ann’s Fort to the church, and both the Queen’s Colour and the Regimental Colour will be carried on parade.

The Church service will be attended by Prime Minister David Thompson and other dignitaries including Chief Justice Sir David Simmons and Attorney General Freundel Stuart. Members of the Barbados Legion will also join the members of the BDF at the service.

The sermon will be delivered by Reverend Curtis Moise and there will be prayers for the nation, the BDF, protection against hurricanes and disasters and for those at sea.
