Members of the public are advised that the beach between Heron Bay Road and Queen’s Forte in Holetown, St. James will be inaccessible from Monday, October 22, until Friday, November 30.

This is to facilitate the start of the Holetown Waterfront Improvement project which is scheduled for on Monday, October 22. Pedestrians and motorists are also urged to exercise care when using the area due to the movement of heavy equipment onto the project site.

During this initial phase four gyrones and associated beach nourishment will be placed on the beach to combat challenges with erosion.

C.O. Williams has been named as the contractor for the $10 million project, which is being overseen by supervising engineers, Baird and Associates and executed by the Coastal Zone Management Unit.
