The importance of using renewable energy within the island’s industrial sector will come into sharp focus, when the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation (BIDC) hosts a one-day forum on this issue.
Under the theme: Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Renewable Energy within the context of Barbados’ Industrial Policy, the event is slated to take place this Friday, March 5, at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, Two Mile Hill, St. Michael, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The forum will bring together technocrats from the National Council for Science and Technology, the Barbados National Standards Institution, the Ministry of Energy,?? the University of the West Indies and private sector entities.?? They will discuss various aspects of alternative energy sources, innovation and standards.
