The Barbados National Standards Institution (BNSI) and CARICOM Regional Organisation for Standards and Quality (CROSQ) will be hosting a Standards and Conformity Assessment Training Workshop for small and medium sized enterprise (SME) business support organisations.
The two-day workshop will be held on Thursday, October 28, and Friday, October 29, at the Savannah Hotel.?? It caters to SME business support organisations involved in banking and finance, business advisory services, teaching and training, management consultancy and technical assistance.?? The training session will seek to illustrate how standards can assist SMEs in increasing their competitiveness and market access.
Issues to be addressed include the standardisation process, the basic principles of conformity and how standards and conformity assessment can help competitiveness.
