The BRA directors are Wayne Forde, former Director of the Land Tax Department; Tyrone Lavine, former Deputy Commissioner of the Inland Revenue Department; and Annette Weekes, former Director of VAT.

Commenting on the establishment of the BRA, Ms. Sivers said: ???I am relieved that the matter has now been settled and the uncertainty relating to the transition process is over. We, as an Authority, can now get ahead with the business of bringing improved governance and structure to tax administration, working on our interaction with the public to improve tax payer education and voluntary compliance. In doing so, it is anticipated that members of the public will recognise the importance of taxation as a vehicle to national development and that they will play their part.???

The Revenue Commissioner was appointed as this island???s first female Accountant General in June 1999 and was assigned to act as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance in 2010. She subsequently went on to the Special Projects Unit and was responsible for merging Government???s four major tax collecting agencies into the BRA.

She attended the Girls??? Foundation and Combermere schools and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Studies from the St. Augustine Campus of the University of the West Indies. She is a Certified Management Accountant.

Meanwhile, the members of the Board of the BRA are: Chairman Sandra Osborne, directors Annice Dalrymple, Karol Ashby, Ronald Fitt, Chief Technical Officer in the Ministry of Transport and Works, Frank Thornhill; Director of Finance and Economic Affairs, Martin Cox; a representative of the National Union of Public Workers and the Revenue Commissioner.
