The Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA) has reminded the public that its Oistins, Christ Church, location is temporarily only facilitating licensing transactions.

This change is as a result of ongoing renovations at the BRA’s branch in The Pine, St. Michael.

However, land tax payments can be made at the Authority’s Treasury Building, Bridgetown; Weymouth Corporate Centre, Roebuck Street; Warrens Tower II, Warrens and Holetown Public Centre, Holetown, locations.

The opening hours for payments at the Treasury Building and Holetown are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, while the other locations are 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The BRA has also reminded the public that taxpayers will benefit from a 10 per cent discount for full land tax payments made by Wednesday, October 26. A five per cent discount is allowed for payments made in full between Thursday, October 27, and Friday, November 25, 2016.

Land tax is also included in the tax Amnesty Programme, and persons who wish to utilise this opportunity should inform cashier or customer service personnel before making payments.
