As a result of the hosting of activities to mark Caribbean Wellness Day, [at Browne’s Beach tomorrow, Saturday, September, 8], the car park at that Beach, opposite the Coastal Zone Management Unit, will not be available for parking from 9.00 a.m. until the event ends.

The Wellness Fair, being put on by the National Task Force on Physical Activity and Exercise of the Ministry of Health, will run from 3:00 to approximately 7:00 p.m. and will include a wide range of exercises.

The day will start with line dancing from 3:00 to 3:45 p.m., to be followed by an aerobics session which will end at 4:30 p.m. Beach volleyball, handball and skipping will also be running concurrently for the remainder of the day.

A beach boot camp session will take place from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m., and for those who need to take a break, there will be a half hour Tai Chi stretch session which will last until 5:00 p.m.

The Barbados Masters and Seniors Athletic Club (BAMSAC) will be on hand to lead drills in the car park from approximately 4:45 until 5:15 p.m.; and Zumba will be done on the main stage from 5:15 to 6:00 p.m. The evening will conclude with the Wuk-up Workout and an appearance by the Hypa Kids.
The public is invited to come out and participate in this free, mass exercise event, and dress appropriately.
