As part of its preparations for the 2010 Population and Housing Census, the Barbados Statistical Service (BSS) will be hosting a workshop for supervisors.??????????
The sessions during the first week, will commence from Tuesday, February 16, to Thursday, February 18, at the St. Michael’s School, Martindales Road, St. Michael, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day.?? The workshops will continue next week Monday, February, 22, and will run until Tuesday, March 2.
The survey will be conducted by enumerators from the department for approximately six weeks in May. It is designed to assess the changes to the Barbadian population and housing landscapes since 2000, when the last Census was carried out by the BSS.
At the end of exercise, the data collected will determine the implementation and evaluation of its social and economic programmes.
