Prime Minister David Thompson said "goodbye" to another diplomat, when he met with outgoing Canadian High Commissioner to Barbados, David Marshall at Ilaro Court, today.

The Prime Minister thanked the High Commissioner for his contribution to the island, and said Government would be looking to appoint a labour envoy to generate new areas of employment opportunities for Barbadians to work on a seasonal basis in Canada and America.

Mr. Marshall indicated that he had enjoyed a very productive and fruitful time in Barbados. He identified medical tourism as an area worth investigating, and thanked Barbados for its continued support at the United Nations.
