Following bilateral talks between Barbados and the People’s Republic of China at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre today, several agreements were signed. These were:-
An Agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation between the Government of Barbados and the Government of the People’s Republic of China, signed by Minister of Economic Affairs, Empowerment, Innovation, Trade, Industry and Commerce, Dr. David Estwick and Assistant Minister of Commerce, Wang Chao.
An exchange of letters on the renovation of the Empire Theatre of Barbados, signed by Minister of Community Development and Culture, Steve Blackett and Assistant Minister of Commerce, Wang Chao.
A Memorandum of Understanding on Agricultural Cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture of Barbados and the Ministry of Agriculture of the People’s Republic of China, signed by Minister of Agriculture, Senator Haynesley Benn and Vice Minister of Agriculture, Niu Dun.
