Twenty newly-certified career/guidance counsellors will receive their accreditation at the culmination of the second cohort of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) training programme.

The course, which spanned over a two-week period, was launched in conjunction with the Cave Hill School of Business and the Consulting Psychologists Press Inc.

Participants were selected from various educational institutions and agencies from around the island.

The presentation of certificates will take place on Friday, August 22, at the Cave Hill School of Business, UWI Cave Hill Campus, beginning at 3:45 p.m.

Key speakers include the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Labour, Andrew Cox, as well as representatives from the Cave Hill School of Business.

The MBTI training programme supports the third pillar of the National Human Resource Development Strategy: to establish a career planning unit within the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation to assist students and dismissed workers in setting career paths.

Thus far, approximately 40 individuals have benefited from participating in the programme.
