The 30th Caribbean Customs Sports Tournament, which is being hosted by the Customs and Excise Department, was officially launched today, Thursday, April 21.??

The event will feature Customs Officers from across the Caribbean competing in a number of sporting disciplines.

Tomorrow, Friday, April 22, the games will begin with a 3K walk/race from St. Lawrence Gap, Christ Church, starting at 6:00 a.m. There will be mixed cricket matches at the Briar Hall and Inch Marlow playing fields, both in Christ Church, at 10:00 a.m., while the Barbados Table Tennis Centre will stage a tournament, at 3:00 p.m. A basketball match at Inch Marlow Hard Courts, at 5:00 p.m. will culminate the day’s activities.

The Sports Tournament will continue on Saturday, April 23, beginning with a mixed cricket match at Inch Marlow playing field, at 10:00 a.m. Additionally, a football match is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at the Briar Hall playing field, while basketball will be played at the Inch Marlow Hard Courts, at 5:00 p.m.

The finals of the games will be played on Monday, April 25, at the Inch Marlow playing field and hard courts. Events for the day include the mixed cricket and men’s cricket matches, which will take place at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., respectively, and the basketball finals, which will begin at 8:30 p.m.
