Charles F. Broome Memorial Primary School will tomorrow, Friday, September 9, hold a sermonette in recognition of its 36th anniversary as an outstanding, primary educational institution.

The Very Reverend, Dr. Dean Frank Marshall, will address the ceremony which starts at 8:45 a.m., at the school on Government Hill, St. Michael.

Charles F. Broome Memorial Primary School was opened to formal education on September 10, 1975, by the then Minister of Education, Lloyd Erskine Sandiford. The school, which replaced the former Stow Primary School had as its first principal, Mrs. Joyce Morris.

Named in memory of the late Charles Fitzgerald Broome, a Barbadian educator, the school provides education for over 600 pupils, inclusive of some 30 pupils in its special unit.?? The school welcomed a new principal this school year in Mr. Louis Griffith, who has over 35 years in the teaching profession.
