Barbadians and visitors are invited to join staff of the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) in a refuse removal exercise at Morgan Lewis Beach, St. Andrew on Saturday, September 19, International Coastal Clean-up Day.

It is a day for removing litter from beaches and the marine environment as a way of raising public awareness about the negative impacts of littering.

Interested persons should??register with the EPD by tomorrow, Friday, September 11. Transportation and refreshments will be provided for early registrants.

Participants requiring transportation should assemble at the department’s headquarters, L.V Harcourt Lewis Building, Dalkeith, St. Michael, by 5.45 a.m. for a 6:00 a.m. departure.

Other persons are requested to meet at the Conrad Hunte Sports Club, Shorey Village, St. Andrew at 6:30 a.m. for a 7:00 a.m. start.
