Members of the public are asked to note that the coastal walk scheduled for Saturday, June 30, has been postponed.

The new date for the walk, which journeys along the coastline from Silver Sands, Christ Church, to the beach behind the Barbados Defence Force’s Paragon Base, Paragon, Christ Church, is now Saturday, July 7, at 3:00 p.m.

Bus transportation will be provided from the former Coastal Zone Management Unit’s (CZMU) car park in Bay Street, St. Michael, where participants are asked to meet for 1:45 p.m., as buses will leave at 2:00 p.m. sharp.

Persons travelling by bus are asked to note that only those with tickets will be permitted on board. Tickets are limited and may be collected from the CZMU’s office on the 8th Floor, Warrens Tower II, Warrens, St. Michael, from Wednesday, June 27, on a first come, first served basis. Persons will only be allowed to collect a maximum of four tickets.

Buses are expected to return to the CZMU car park on Bay Street, St. Michael, by 7:00 p.m.

Participants are reminded that they should wear loose clothing and sturdy shoes, such as hiking shoes or sneakers, suitable for walking through rough terrain. Anyone wearing inappropriate footwear, such as slippers, will not be allowed to board the bus.
