As part of its celebrations of 30 years of integrated coastal zone management, the Coastal Zone Management Unit will host a coastal walk and movie night on Saturday, September 27.
Members of the public are encouraged to come out and join in the family fun at the walk, which begins at Bathsheba, St. Joseph, from 4:00 p.m.
Walkers will journey along the island???s coast to Bath Beach in St. John, as CZMU officials provide updates on the state of the coastal areas along the route.
Participants are asked to wear appropriate shoes, and where possible, enclosed shoes or boots, as some parts of the route can be difficult to navigate. Inappropriate foot wear (such as flip flops) is strongly discouraged.
On arrival at Bath Beach, walkers will be treated to two movies: A Turtle???s Tale: Sammy???s Adventures for the children begins at 6:30 p.m., while Poseidon will start at 8:00 p.m.
In addition, clips from the popular Going Coastal Series will be shown during the evening.??Persons are encouraged to bring their blankets and chairs and food and drink will be on sale.
