“Barbados has consistently conducted its affairs within the parameters of international law and in an open and transparent manner. Barbados continues to act responsibly in the exercise of its rights and the discharge of its responsibilities under international law. Nothing in its actions infringes the legitimate rights of any third state.

The blocks which are the subject of recent reports in the press are within the EEZ of Barbados as defined by our national laws, the arbitral award of 2006 and in accordance with international law and practice.”
