When the Eighth Biennial Conference of the Commonwealth Association for Public Administration and Management (CAPAM) ends here tomorrow, it will be the turn of the Commonwealth Ministers of Government to have their meeting the following day.

Come Thursday, October 23, the 21 Ministers of Government, who are here attending CAPAM, will have a one-day Ministers’ Forum at the Hilton Barbados.

The theme of the Forum is “Managing Relationships for Good Governance and Development” and Ransford Smith, Deputy Secretary-General, Commonwealth Secretariat, will give the welcome address. Minister of State in the Ministry of Labour and the Civil Service, Senator Arni Walters, will give the keynote address.

It will speak to public sector development, with specific focus on the importance of building strong networks and managing relationships within an increasingly complex governance environment. The Forum gets under way at 8:45 a.m.
