Judging begins on Saturday, November 5, with the Northern Zone preliminary taking place at the Trents Community Centre, Trents, St. James.

On Sunday, November 6, the St. Michael North preliminary will be held at the Grazettes Resource Centre, Grazettes, St. Michael, while on Monday, November 7, it will be the turn of St. Michael South at the Parkinson Community Centre, the Pine, St. Michael.

The final preliminary, the Southern Zone, will be held on Tuesday, November 8, at the Foundation School, Church Hill, Christ Church.

The preliminaries, which begin at 6:00 p.m., are designed to select the best performers from each zone and provide the dancers and their management teams with an informal warm-up. In addition, judges will offer feedback on their strengths and weaknesses, and give advice for improvement.

The Zone Finals commence on Friday, December 2, with St. Michael North being judged at Combermere, Waterford, St. Michael.?? Saturday, December 3, will see participants in the Southern Zone coming before the judges at the Foundation School.

On Monday, December 5, judging for the Northern Zone will be held at the Alexandra Secondary School, Speightstown, St. Peter and on Tuesday, December 6, the St. Michael South Zone is scheduled for the Combermere School. All Zone Finals will start at 7:00 p.m.

The National Finals will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Garfield Sobers Complex, Wildey, St. Michael.

Now in its sixth year, Community DanceFest is coordinated by the Community Development Department of the Ministry of Social Care, Constituency Empowerment and Community Development. Its theme is: Unleashing the Spirit of the Community.
