The Community Development Department is encouraging persons to register for its Community Technology Programme, which will commence on Monday, October 24.

The free programme, which offers training in various aspects of Microsoft Office 2010, will run for 13 weeks, at resource centres across the island.

Level 1 (Beginners) classes will consist of Introduction to Computers; Introduction to E-mail, Introduction to the Internet; Introduction to XP, and Introduction to Microsoft Word 2010. Meanwhile, Level 2 (Advanced) classes will be in Word and PowerPoint 2010, Excel and Publisher 2010 Access 2010; and Outlook and the Internet.

Interested persons who reside in St. Michael may contact one of the following resource centres: Bush Hall, at 427-7278; Bonnetts, Brittons Hill, at 435-2427; Deacons, at 421-8425; Grazettes, at 425-1183; and Haggatt Hall, at 436-6839.

Residents of Christ Church may contact the St. Christopher Resource Centre, at 420-7771 or the Briar Hall Resource Centre, at 430-1421, while persons from St. Philip may contact the Rices Resource Centre, at 271-2548 or St. Marks Resource Centre, at 423-7342.

St. Peter residents may contact the resource centre at Speightstown, at 422-1940, or the Centre at Black Bess at 422-1250.
