Thirteen students from the Cosmetology Division of the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic (SJPP) will showcase work done over the course of a two-year programme, next week.
The division will host Redesigning Salon Open Day on Thursday, April 16, in the Cosmetology Room, HE 22, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:50 p.m.??All products, as well as some of the product lines made by students, will be on display.
According to Design Teacher, Myrna Sealy Hinkson, patrons attending can expect ???a high quality of work from those who will graduate at the end of this year???.
???We [the polytechnic] are hoping that there will be some interest from the public, as this Open Day is geared towards students becoming entrepreneurs, owning their [own] salon and or spa, as well as becoming recognised hairdressers, nail technicians and makeup artistes,??? she added.??The public is invited to attend.
