The deadline for the National Task Force on Crime Prevention’s Logo Competition (NTFCP) has been extended to December 14.

Participants are required to design a logo which represents the theme: In The Winners’ Circle: Making The Right Choice!

The competition is open to all secondary school students between the ages of 14 and 18, as well as students up to 18 years old who are enrolled in the Fine Arts Programme of the Barbados Community College.

It was conceptualised based on The NTFCP’s programme entitled: In The Winners’ Circle: Making The Right Choice! which comprises a series of sensitisation workshops held each year to prepare Class Four students for their transition from primary to secondary school.?? Topics explored include: Bullying; Wandering; Gambling, Substance Abuse, Self-Esteem and Your Body & You. Students are given potential situations which they may encounter and offered practical solutions to tackle them.

Designs for the competition must be submitted in JPEG or PDF format by 4:30 p.m. on December 14. Entries should be sent to email: ntfcplogo@yahoo.com or, they may be mailed or delivered to: The National Task Force on Crime Prevention, No.5 Alphonzo House, 1st Avenue, Belleville, St. Michael. Prizes include electronic items, gift vouchers, hampers and educational materials.
