Computerised Job Estimation Tools (CJET) for Artisans and Small Contractors will be the title of a workshop which will be hosted by FundAccess, in collaboration with the Caribbean Development Bank’s Caribbean Technological Consultancy Services Network, at the Accra Beach Hotel and Spa, Rockley, Christ Church, from July 10 to 13.

Persons interested in participating in the event are reminded that pre-registration forms must be submitted by next Wednesday, June 27, to FundAccess, which is located at City Building, Pinfold Street, Bridgetown.

The workshop will cater to self-employed artisans and contractors who have been in business for no less than three years; small contractors who have undertaken private projects valued between BDS$100,000 and $500,000; and artisans who have executed sub-contracts in their areas of specialty between BDS$60,000 and $160,000.

Artisans and contractors who have successfully executed projects financed by government in collaboration with any regional and/or extra-regional agency valued over BDS $160,000, are also eligible to apply.

During the three-day sessions, there will be a number of presentations and group assignments, and participants will be required to provide their own laptop pre-loaded with Microsoft Excel, version 2003 – 2007 or higher; a calculator; and one new flash drive.
