As part of the activities to mark World Tsunami Awareness Day on Monday, November 5, the Department of Emergency Management will host a half-day business continuity workshop for private and public sector agencies.

The workshop will be held on Monday, November 5, at the Folkestone Park and Marine Reserve, Holetown, St. James, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Holetown, St. James was selected by the Technical Standing Committee on Coastal Hazards for participation in the CARIBE Early Warning Community-Based Recognition Programme.

Successful participation in this programme will lead to Holetown receiving a Tsunami Ready Certificate of Recognition, awarded by UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission for compliance with all international risk reduction guidelines.
