This disclosure has come from Director of the Office of Public Sector Reform, Michael Archer, who said the Government of Barbados, through his Office, had made provision for the former workers to receive direct assistance through Network Services Centre Inc.

Mr. Archer explained that the Programme was designed to assist former public sector employees with psychological counselling, money-management, curriculum vitae preparation, interview techniques and career re-assessment.

???They will also have access to an online job search database and sessions focusing on the psychological and emotional aspects of managing your own business,??? he pointed out.

He noted that the support counselling services would be available to those persons free of cost for the transition period of eight months.

To access these services, laid-off public workers should call 228-7773 or 228-3056.
