The Division of Culture and Sports recently presented book covers featuring information on Barbados’ first World Heritage Property, ???Historic Bridgetown and its Garrison’, to the Ministry of Education.

The covers were designed by the Division for primary school pupils. The initiative was a follow-up to a series of two-day workshops for 80 teachers in private and public schools who teach Social Studies and History.

Senior Education Officer for primary schools within the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, Joy Gittens-Ramsey, accepted the book covers from Sheron Johnson, Director of Cultural Policy and Research in the Division of Culture and Sports.
