Barbadians are being encouraged to visit the 23rd Annual Drug Awareness Exhibition – Action for Prevention – currently going on at the Public Library, Fairchild Street, Bridgetown.

??It is being hosted by the National Library Service, in collaboration with the National Committee for the Prevention of Alcoholism and Drug Dependency (NCPADD), and features some of the library’s resources, related videos, and educational flyers.

Persons may view the exhibits Monday to Saturday, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily, until Friday, February 17. Children from primary and secondary schools across the island are also expected to tour the exhibition next week between 10:00 a.m. and?? noon.

Meanwhile, there will be a number of lectures/panel discussions at the Main Library next week, between 5:30 and 7:00 p.m. On Tuesday, February 14, the topic will be Drug Chemistry and Toxicology, while on Wednesday, February 15, the presenter will address Marijuana History from 1970 to Present: Responding to Addiction will be discussed on Thursday, February 16.
