Come Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 18, the National Council on Substance Abuse (NCSA), in collaboration with the Organisation of American States (OAS), Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission will host a two-day workshop for stakeholders of the Barbados Drug Information Network (BARDIN).

An official opening ceremony will take place at Accra Beach Hotel and Spa, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Featured speakers will be OAS Country Representative, Francis MacBurnett, while Manager of the NCSA, Yolande Forde will deliver remarks.

BARDIN is a critical mechanism designed to greatly support the country’s collection, analysis and reporting requirements for drug-related data and information. It will also form an integral information gathering and sharing network among agencies that collect any drug-related data and will provide the scientific basis for policy formulation and programme development.

The workshop will come to a close on Wednesday, October 19.
