Education Month To Close With Benefit Match

Members of the public are invited to come out and have some fun as the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation closes Education Month 2015 with a cricket match at the University of the West Indies (UWI) 3Ws Oval, Cave Hill Campus, this Friday, October 30 at 6:00 p.m.

The event is a benefit match for staff member, Diego Stuart, who was injured and hospitalised after a recent club cricket match.

Under the theme: We Will Be Passing The Hat! teachers and staff from the Ministry will take on a combined team from the UWI, the Barbados Community College and the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic.

Ryan Arthur of Pickwick will captain the Ministry???s team, which includes teacher Ronaldo Parris and MRD officer, Omar Boyce, among others. UWI???s combined team will be led by Floyd Reifer.??Match umpires are Principal of Parkinson Memorial, Jeff Broomes, and Education Minister, Ronald Jones.
