Tomorrow, Saturday, September 17, there will be a marine litter beach clean-up at the Morgan Lewis Beach in St. Andrew.

The clean-up is part of the Environmental Protection Department’s (EPD) National Marine Litter Programme, which focuses on educating the public about the causes and effects of marine litter and providing information on the types and amount of litter found on beaches.

Those persons who have not yet registered, but are interested in participating are asked to assemble at the Conrad Hunte Sports Club car park, Shorey Village, St. Andrew by 6:00 a.m. There will be an informative briefing about the collection of the litter, before leaving for Morgan Lewis Beach.

In commemoration of the EPD’s 40th anniversary, there will be a buffet breakfast and awards ceremony at Farley Hill National Park following the clean-up.
