The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health will fog a number of areas in Christ Church and St. Michael, next week.

On Monday, September 17, fogging will take place in the Christ Church districts of Montrose Development, Silver Hill, Silver Hill Housing Area, Silver Hill Landing Scheme, Kendal Hill, Kendal Hill Development, Messiah Development, Maxwell Plains and its environs.

The following day, Tuesday, September 18, the team will target Cane Vale, Cane Vale Avenues 1 – 4, Gall Hill, Gall Hill Housing Area, Montrose and Silver Hill, also in Christ Church.

Fairy Valley Plantation, Pilgrim Road, Pilgrim Place A & B, Fairy Valley Rocks, Wilcox Road, Thyme Bottom, Parish Land, Balls Land, Providence and surrounding districts will be fogged on Wednesday, September 19; while Maxwell Hill, Maxwell Main Road, Moravian Gap, Maxwell Gardens, Laynes Road, Hilton Road, Top Rock, Graeme Hall Terrace, Fairholme Gardens, Welches, Cane Vale and adjacent areas will be done on Thursday, September 20.

Fogging for the week will culminate in St. Michael on Friday, September 21, with concentration on Green Hill, Friendship Terrace (all avenues), South & North Lowlands Drive, All Avenues North & South Friendship Drive, Mahaica Gap, Lewis Gap, Storey Gap, Lodge Terrace and neighbouring areas.????

Fogging will run from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day, and pedestrians and motorists should proceed with caution when they encounter fogging operations on the street.?? Parents are advised to prevent their children from playing in the fog and from running behind the fogging machine.??

In addition, persons with respiratory problems should protect themselves from inhaling the fog.?? Householders are urged to help in the elimination of the aedes aegypti mosquito by opening windows and doors to allow the fog to circulate.??
