Fogging in Five Parishes Next Week

The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health will be carrying out fogging operations in five parishes next week.

They will start in St. Philip on Monday, July 22, in the following districts: Union Hall, Crane Gardens, Crane Development, Diamond Valley, Crane Lodge, Cave Land, Rices Gardens, Kirtons Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4, Mangrove, Mangrove Terrace, Four Roads, Nursery No. 1 and No. 2, Six Roads, Duncans and the environs.

The team will then move to the parish of St. Michael on Tuesday, July 23, where Bank Hall, Downey Ave, Mayers Gap, Skeetes Road, Advent Ave, Headley Land, Prescod Bottom, Brathwaite Gap, Springer Gap, Dr. Kerr Land, Hindsbury Road, Garden Land, Country Road, Perry Gap, Greenfield, Gills Road and surrounding areas will be fogged.

The Unit will stay in St. Michael on Wednesday, July 24, but this time they will turn their focus on Hothersal Turning, Jackmans, Cane Wood Road, Jackson Terrace, Nazarene Gap, Jackson Tenantry and the environs.

The following day, Thursday, July 25, they will target districts in St. James and St. Peter. They are: Carlton with Avenues, Gibbs, Gibbs Glades, Mullins, Mullins Terrace, Cemetery Lane, Road View, Battaley???s, Farm Road and neighbouring districts.

Fogging operations will conclude on Friday, July 26, when the Unit visits Bagatelle Gardens, Redmans Village, Welches Terrace, Welches Heights, Padmore Village, Melrose, Warrens Terrace, Arthur Seat, Brownes Gap, Downes Gap, Jackson and the environs.

The fogging programme runs from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m. each day. Persons with respiratory ailments should protect themselves from inhaling the fog, while children should desist from running behind the fogging vehicle.
