The Ministry of Health???s ???Search and Destroy??? mission targetting the Aedes aegypti mosquito continues as the Vector Control Unit gears up to fog four parishes next week.

On Monday, December 16, the Unit will go into a number of districts in St. Andrew and St. Joseph. They are: Cane Garden, Coggins Hill, Chalky Mount, Cambridge, Bissex and the environs.

The following day, Tuesday, December 17, they will venture into St. George where they will fog Bydes Mill, Drax Hall, Drax Hall Tenantry, Drax Hall Jump and the surrounding areas.

For the remainder of the week, the team will target areas in St. Michael. On Wednesday, December 18, Eagle Hall, Tudor Bridge, Olives Gap, Kew Road, Perkins Land, Quarry Road, 1st and 2nd Avenue Bank Hall, Dash Road and neighbouring districts will be fogged.

Members of the Unit will venture into St. Stephens Hill, Clevedale, Murray Road, Wavell Gardens, Grazettes with avenues, Seclusion Gardens, Scotts Terrace and the environs on Thursday, December 19.

Fogging for the week will conclude on Friday, December 20, when the team fogs St. Stephens Hill, Yearwood Road, Apple Grove, Melvins Avenue, Wavell Avenue, Belfield, Belfield Gardens, Brownes Land, Black Rock Main Road and the surrounding areas.

The Ministry of Health???s fogging programme runs from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m. each day. Persons with respiratory ailments are reminded that they should protect themselves from inhaling the fog, while children should desist from running behind the fogging vehicle.
