The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health will continue its fogging programme next week to reduce the island’s mosquito population.
On Monday, October 24, the team will head to St. Peter to spray The Whim, Bailey Road, Denny Road, Yearwood Road, Mount Brevitor Development and the environs.
Another team will journey to St. Michael on the same day, to fog Stadium Road, Bow Road, Butlers Avenue, Syndicate Road, Ellis Road, Pioneer Road, Civilian Road, Bush Hall Yard Gap and the surrounding areas.
On Tuesday, October 25, the eradication programme will continue in the St. Michael districts of Belleview Road, Station Hill, Godding Road, Glendairy Gap, Deanes Village and its Avenues, Harmony Hall, Hindsbury Road, Taylor Gap, Prescod Bottom, Headley Land, Advent Avenue, and Bank Hall Cross Road.
The fogging exercises will continue the next day, Wednesday, October 26, in St. Thomas in the districts of Lion Castle Tenantry, Highland Tenantry, Welchman Hall, Bryan’s Road, Vault Road, Allen View and the environs.
On Thursday, October 27, a team will return to St. Michael to fog Black Rock, Washington Avenue, Kellman Land, Brownes Gap, Eckstein Village, Tudor Bridge, Seales Avenue, Parkinson Road, Fairfield, Scotts Terrace, Grazettes, Wavell, Fairfield Cross Road, Nightengale Gardens, Seclusion Road and the neighbouring districts.
Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter. Fogging will take place between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. each day.
