The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health continues its efforts to eradicate the Aedes aegypti mosquito this week.

On Monday, June 12, areas to be fogged in St. James will be Sunset Boulevard, Sunset Crest, Hibiscus Avenue, Cherry Avenue, Cemetery Lane, Mahoe Avenue, Palm Avenue, Cordia Avenue and environs.

On Tuesday, June 13, the team will be in St. Peter to spray Mile-and-a-Quarter, Maynards Development, Valley View, Convent Drive, Sunset Heights and neighbouring districts.

On Wednesday, June 14, St. Peter will be targeted, specifically Jupiter Gardens, Maynards Housing Area, Jerusalem, Skeete’s Road, Rose Hill, Apple Grove and environs.

Areas in St. Michael to be fogged on Thursday, June 15, will be Valerie, Brittons Cross Road, Beckles Road, Villa Road, Laynes Road, Scotts Gap and surrounding areas.

The team returns to St. Michael on Friday, June 16, to spray Highgate Gardens, Collymore Rock, Burke’s Land, Eversley Road, Brittons New Road, Reece Land and neighbouring districts.

Householders are reminded to open their doors and windows to allow the spray to enter. The fogging exercise runs from 4:30 to 7.30 p.m. each day.
