The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health resumes its fogging programme aimed at eradicating the Aedes aegypti mosquito next week.

On Monday, March 19, a team will be in St. Andrew fogging Savannah Road, Shorey Village, Douglin Tenantry, St. Andrew’s Church, Walkers, Bawdens, Babylon Road and the environs.

The exercise in St. Andrew continues on Tuesday, March 20, in Belleplaine, Farrell’s Road, Corbin’s Village, Lakes Village, Isolation Road, Jordan’s Road, Frank Douglin Tenantry and surrounding areas.

On Wednesday, March 21, districts to be sprayed in St. James will be 1st and 2nd Street Holetown, Sunset Boulevard, Sunset Crest, Hibiscus Avenue, Cherry Avenue, Cemetery Lane, Mahoe Avenue, Palm Avenue, Cordia Avenue and environs.

St. Philip will be targeted on Thursday, March 22, specifically Nursery #1, Nursery #2, Four Roads, Mangrove, Mangrove Terrace, Carnation Close and neighbouring districts.

The team returns to St. Philip on Friday, March 23, to fog Kirtons, Kirtons #1, Kirtons #2, Kirtons #3, Rices, Rices Gardens, Cave Land, Crane Development, Crane Lodge, Collington Drive and surrounding areas.

The fogging exercises will be carried out between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. each day. Householders are reminded to open their doors and windows to allow the spray to enter.
