The Vector Control Unit in the Ministry of Health will continue its fogging programme to control the Aedes aegypti mosquito population next week in selected areas.

On Monday, November 28, the districts in St. Michael and Christ Church to be fogged are Garrison Road, Bush Hill, Dayrells Road, Harts Gap, Nightengale Gardens, Bourne’s Land, Seclusion Road, Fairfield Cross Road, Belfield Gardens, Wavell, Yearwood Road, Black Rock Main Road and environs.

St. Joseph, St. Andrew and St. James will be targeted on Tuesday, November 29, when Bruce Vale, Fruitful Hill, Boarded Hall, Cane Garden, Olive Lodge Road, Holders Hill, Polo Ridge, Dairy Meadows, Bamboo Ridge, King’s Village, Holders Terrace, John Plains and surrounding areas will be fogged.

There will be no fogging on Wednesday, November 30, Independence Day.

Spraying continues on Thursday, December 1, in Christ Church and St. James. The team will be in Brathwaite’s Gap, Dayrells Road, Rockley New Road, Ventnor Gardens, Golf Club Road, Bynoe Road, Oxnards Road, Violet Circle, Cherry Drive, West Terrace Heights, Oxnards Crescent and neighbouring districts.

Fogging takes place from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. daily. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors so that the spray can enter.
