The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health will continue its work to eradicate the Aedes aegypti mosquito next week.

On Monday, October 2, areas to be sprayed in St. Peter are Queen’s Street, Archers Lane, Bovell Road, Mango Lane, Chapel Street, Gooding Alley, Church Street, Major Walk and environs.

On Tuesday, October 3, the team will be in St. Michael to fog Spooners Hill, Rock Gap, Allamby Gap, Woodstock Road, Long Gap with Avenues, Rogers Terrace with Avenues, Pillersdolf Development and surrounding areas.

On Wednesday, October 4, they will return to St. Michael. Areas to be fogged are Grazettes, Pembroke Road, Durham Close, Ulster Road, Denton Road, Rockhampton Road, Inniss Close, Piermont Park, Long Gap and neighbouring districts.

On Thursday, October 5, Eastbourne #1 and #3, River Land, River, Lynches, Casuarina Development, Merricks and environs in St. Philip will be targeted.

And on Friday, October 6, the team will be in St. James spraying Holetown, 1st and 2nd Street Holetown, Jamestown Park, Sunset Boulevard, Sunset Crest, Hibiscus Avenue, Cherry Avenue, Cemetery Lane, Mahoe Avenue, Palm Avenue, Cordia Avenue and surrounding areas.

Householders are reminded to open their doors and windows to allow the spray to enter. The fogging exercise runs from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day.
