Food Spaces For Agrofest 2011 Sold Out
?????????????????? Food spaces for next year’s Agrofest 2011 have been fully booked.
?????????????????? Word of this has come from agrofest coordinator, Theodore Fraser, who said that
"35 food spaces have been booked and no further accommodations can be made in this section."
The coordinator explained that since the agrofest secretariat invited exhibitors and vendors to come in and sign up, between July 5 and August 26, approximately 91 persons had registered to be exhibitors at the event.??
Pointing out that exhibitors in the craft and fruits and vegetables sections have shown keen interest at an earlier point when compared with previous years, Mr. Fraser said that "to date quite a few persons had signed up for these sections.
The level of response for exhibition spaces so far has out shadowed previous years and projections so far are that we will have quite a few more exhibits than we had last year, which also had its own record for number of exhibits," the coordinator disclosed.
He added: "As a result of this, we will have to be very creative in how we go about allocating spaces, so that we maintain the high standards set for the exhibition and secondly in trying to meet the increase in demand for the limited space we have."
However, Mr. Fraser cautioned those persons who were interested in being a part of agrofest 2011 "to come in as soon as possible and register in order to secure a space.
??"The phenomenal response we are seeing can only be attributed to the fact that exhibitors identify with the event and continue to believe that it is an excellent opportunity to market their products and services to a wide cross section of the Barbadian public, and of course our overseas guests," he opined.??tblackman@barbados.gov.bb
