Residents of urban communities, especially those desirous of participating in the Urban Development Commission’s (UDC) 2013 Garden Beautification Competition, will have an opportunity to take part in a free workshop, this weekend.
The workshop is being staged on Saturday, February 2, from 10:00 a.m. until noon at the UDC’s Office, Bridge Street Mall, Bridgetown.
Renowned local horticulturalist Jeff Chandler will examine the topic The Art of Good Gardening.
The course is being staged to educate members of the public about the numerous benefits of gardens, their maintenance and the appropriate use of plants.
