French Ambassador Pays Courtesy Call On Education Minister

Issues of increased collaboration were discussed when French Ambassador, Michel Trinquier paid a courtesy call on Minister of Education and Human Resource Development, Ronald Jones, recently.

During the visit, Mr. Trinquier stressed his country’s appreciation of efforts made by Barbados to strengthen ties between the two countries and identified the area of human resource development as one which France was keen on expanding.

The French Ambassador, along with Minister Jones, both agreed on the benefits to be gained from cultural exchanges, whereby citizens of both countries would have the opportunity to learn each other’s languages.

Mr. Trinquier, was accompanied by Honorary Consul of the French Republic in Barbados, Antoine Houdebine and Director of Alliance Francaise, Luc Didon.
