The Fair Trading Commission will host a two-day training workshop on Competition Law and Policy at the Accra Beach Hotel & Spa next week.
The workshop, which will begin on Wednesday, March 21, is designed to give participants – including business leaders, legal professionals and administrators – a general overview of competition law and policy, with a focus on goals and benefits of effective competition.
Deputy Director of the Bureau of Competition at the Federal Trade Commission in the United States, Pete Levitas, will be the guest presenter.
The course will address competition policy in Barbados while covering concepts such as anti-competitive agreements, mergers and abuse of dominance as well as regional cross border??anti-competitive conduct.
Attendees will benefit from a series of interactive sessions, as well as open discussion and a question and answer segment.
